Agricultural Facilitator – Kwamouth
Humanitarian Action for Africa (HAA) is recruiting two (2) Agricultural Facilitators to contribute to the implementation of its food security and agricultural support activities in the Kwamouth Territory, Mai-Ndombe Province.
Under the supervision of the Agronomist Engineer Supervisor, the Agricultural Facilitators will provide close support to beneficiary households, community facilitation and monitoring of agricultural activities in the field.

Purpose of the position
Under the supervision of the Agronomist Engineer Supervisor, the Agricultural Facilitator contributes to the day-to-day implementation of food security activities in the field.
They provide in particular close support to the households receiving agricultural inputs, facilitate community activities and monitor agricultural practices in order to contribute to achieving the project's objectives.
The position is full-time (100%).
Main responsibilities
The Agricultural Facilitator will in particular be responsible for:
- Supporting the day-to-day implementation of food security activities in the field;
- Supporting beneficiary households in the appropriate use of the agricultural inputs received;
- Taking part in the identification and registration of beneficiaries in collaboration with community committees;
- Supporting the organization of agricultural input distributions and carrying out post-distribution monitoring;
- Leading awareness-raising, training and practical demonstration sessions for producers;
- Regularly monitoring the fields and reporting the difficulties encountered by beneficiary households;
- Collecting field data and filling in the project's monitoring tools;
- Maintaining good working relationships with local authorities and community structures;
- Ensuring compliance with humanitarian principles, HAA's protection policies and zero-tolerance policies;
- Contributing to any other activity necessary to achieve the project's objectives.
Required profile
Education
Hold at least a State Diploma in agriculture or rural development (A2), or a higher degree in agronomy.
Equivalent community experience may also be taken into consideration.
Professional experience
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in community facilitation, agricultural extension or livelihoods support;
- Experience in agricultural input distribution operations is an asset.
Skills and qualities
- Good facilitation, awareness-raising and community mobilization skills;
- Good knowledge of cropping practices adapted to the Kwamouth area;
- Ability to collect field data and provide regular reporting;
- Residence in the area of intervention or immediate availability to settle there;
- Fluency in French and in the local languages of the area, in particular Lingala and Kiteke;
- Integrity, team spirit and sense of responsibility;
- Willingness to work directly with communities and in a rural environment.
